Cinco De Mayo amp 2

Cinco De Mayo ampI started this one almost a year ago and just wrapped it up last week just in time for Cinco De Mayo! Samsonite suitcase amp using the Guitar Fuel MAH 5 and an old Dukane 8" I went over the case with a skull head fabric that I ended up tea dying to antique it a bit. This ones a pure battery traveler with pretty nice cleans and a crazy amount of fuzz distortion when set to the "tube" or "blues" settings. I feel like I'm channeling Dan Auerbach. I'm really digging this amp.

  • Thank ya Bristol Blue!

  • Wicked , really like this !

  • Thanks guys!  It really turned out nice. That suitcase was from a set of Samsonite luggage hat was given to my mother as a high school grad gift. Right around 1951 would be my guess. Those Samsonite luggage pieces from that era are the real deal for amp cases if you can find them. I discovered that they are actually made from steam bent plywood.  At right under or around 1/4". they are super sturdy and everything but the 1/4" will mount right up with out using plates. I've got a few more MAH5's left so that ought to keep me busy for the next several years anyway ;)

  • I'd say that year was well spent Ron! Turned out really nice Man! I've been meaning to get some of the MAH 5's and you just made my mind up to pull the trigger.

    Again, well done.........love it!

  • Just to clarify, This was intended to be done for the Dia De Muertos celebration but I missed it by a bit.  Cinco de Mayo will have to do ;)
