Forgot to add that this was my first go at a piezo with a volume control. It worked out great except somehow 'off' is actually all the way 'up' (it actually clicks to all the way up, i.e. 'this one goes to 11') and all the way 'on' is actually all the way 'down'. I could reverse the wires, but I like the 'going to 11' feeling.
So, my version of a dulcimer, tuned CGCc instead of DADd. Poplar neck with Red Oak reinforcement on the bottom. Since it is certainly not a Hammer Dulcimer nor is it really a Mountain Dulcimer, I'm calling it a 'Jungle' Dulcimer.
