Hey there Lowe.. love this banjo.. it epitomizes the sentiment and do it your self pride that cigar box banjos themselves represent.
I have a dear friend who recently passed. He was enthusiastic musician and author, who wrote a book, his memoirs, called Cigar Box Banjo. I am making a website and CDROM to celebrate his book and memorialize his love for music.. and would really love to feature this banjo in the artwork.
I thought I would say hi and ask your permission. I think my friend would have loved your commitment to what is obviously an artform...
Above it the image I would love to use. Plese let me know if its ok with you. Woul dbe happy to show you how it is being used if your interested.
Great aged look. Maybe remove screws and sandwich another piece of wood on top? Or is that what you tried with the tightbond? I just went back to the original tightbond myself.
