The old neck block was pretty much destroyed when I dismantled the Uke. It was just soft plywood and a LOT of glue as a gap filler. It'll be easier to just start over with a better piece of wood.
Are you going to re-use the block that held the neck to the old uke? If you cut that down to fit your box it might save you alot of engineering?? Just a thought.
This is after an evening with a razor saw and a 4 in one file. I still have some thinking to do about the shaping of the lid so it can be opened without interference.
