I am now the proud owner of two of Chris' wonderful instruments. The one on the left is electric and sounds awesome through my Vox amp. It is bass and mellow with a nice twang. The Arturo Fuente Nighthawk on the right is a fretted 3 string acoustic. It plays real nice. I'm going to add some sort of unseen pickup. Hopefully like the pickup in the dark Fiddle stick.

Thanks for the info Chris. I.ll put in a mag then I've got a nice one. I don't quite understand how it can go into the neck through. Maybe ejamakate me? The Nighthawk is so nice to pick. Good action for slide and fingering. The tuners are quite good. Ingenious method. Easy to tune. The Fiddle is less easy, but I'll figure out the tricks. It's basically a friction tuner. Tighten the wing nut then tune with the eye. The big sound hole is killer. The design is unique.

Those are both really nice. I want to try one like on the right, very cool build method.
