Cedar box guitar #15

A sweet player, used an old Tiasco neck, a vintage Epiphone humbucker and a maple brace pass through for the pickup base and strength. Today I've been working on #17. This is a "Barn Caster", made of a big old 2x12 pine with knotts. I got the body blank from ebay. The pickup cavities are routed out and holes for wiring are drilled. Sort of a kit guitar one might say. It has two single coil pickup pockets like a tele.

  • Thanks Don, This little guitar has become a sweetie. She plays great. She got me back into playing 6 string. Lately, I'm on lap steel, but 6 string. And she got me into magnetic pickups. I was a 4 string player on banjo and ukulele. Building these boxes has kept me fresh with many alternative sizes and types. I love it.
