I made the rings from 1" id Stainless Steel pipe. Chucked a hunk in my metal lathe and cut 45 degree chamfer on front end then cut a .25" wide by .125" deep groove. Parted it off leaving a shoulder to slide down into the hole in the cigar box. Then did another one etc.
