Used the back of the box, f holes. It was sanded smooth then a few light coasts of poly urethane spray to protect it, with a little more light sanding. The tail piece is a brass bin pull, oak bridge from leftover plank flooring.I've made several with f holes, it's tedious, but I play with the dimensions of the f hole so it visually fits well with the box.
