Three quarter view. Neck is white oak with an ebonized red oak fingerboard. Tailpiece is a bent piece of galvanized steel that was some kind of roof timber bracket from Home Despot. With the bridge placed a good inch and a half onto the box top, I'm getting decent volume out of it when unplugged.

I think you've got room to lower the bridge if you want better action. Otherwise, go for the slide.....
