This is 1x 4 pine w/ mitered corners to make the frame. I routed rabbets along the long edges before gluing frame. Once glued, I dropped Lauan ply onto the routed lip.
**IF I had really been thinking, I would have spray painted BOTH front and back panels before dropping in. On this one, I attached the front first and had to brush the stripes on. I sprayed the back and it looks WAY better.
