Body close up of my homemade sorta-Telecaster. The shape doesn't sit on the knee well but she sounds like a Telecaster! Slight buzz on the 3rd fret that the single-action truss rod can't quite fix but that's minor. I'll just re-level that fret or find a better Tele neck.

  • Richey, the finish is 3 or 4 coats of medium walnut Danish oil to give it a better color than the pale greenish yellow of the poplar I used.  Once that had a few days to dry I topcoated with General Finishes' Arm-R-Seal clear.  Brushed it on with foam brushes and steel wooled between coats.  Up close there are some visible imperfections in the topcoat but it still works.  Thanks!
