Tabak Especial 8-string Cigar Box Mandolin.My brother was really interested in my CBG's and since he is a bluegrass fan, I built him this mandolin. The sturdy neck and deep thin wood box combine to make this one sound great acoustically, but it does have a piezo for playing electric. The neck is ash, the fretboard walnut with cherry fret markers. The bridge is split to adjust intonation on each pair separately - an idea I borrowed from a post on CBN.
