You can't really tell from the pictures, but this neck is very asymmetrical. The front-bottom is very rounded (treble string) while the front-top is relatively square. The reverse is also the case (back-bottom kinda square, back-top rounded). This was an experiment which I think turned out pretty well... It seems to me like playing slide on the treble string while leaving the bottom two open is much easier on this neck.
