Head stock is cut back about 1/2" to avoid need for a screw to pull down the strings over the nut.The nut and the floating bridge are both bolts.The action is about 2mm above the first fret and 3mm above the 12th - the lowest I could set without having buzzing from frets at the high end.The sustain and tonality are far better than my first dull-sounding CBG, possibly because of the relatively large box 10"x13"x2.5" (external dim), using 0.5" plywood sides and 1/4" plywood back and front faces.
