    no, the piezo is very thin ,i am on my third cbg and have done all the same way with no problems.

    So that won't "crush" the piezo and make it inoperable?

    yes, that is what i did , i put a dab of CA. on all four corners and clamped it together.

    Hey Jason. Do you have any pics of the pickup before you assembled it? Did you just sandwich a transducer between two pieces of wood?
