I started with a sincle piece piece of .75" thick maple, cut it in three glued them together to get a 2.25" thick laminate piece, Once it dried up it was effectively one piece that I then rought cut to shape on a band saw and then shaped by hand. Actually I only did three layers at the headstock to save wood, the rest of the neck done as two layers. Hope that makes sense...
There are visible joints if you look at it in person, but they are very hard to see since all three layers came from the same board.
If this is your first build, you're going to do great on any future ones! That is one nice CBG! I'm curious as to how you did the neck - was it carved from one piece, because I can't detect any line if that's a scarf joint. First Class job!
