Nut is also a spent Nagant shell. These shells make the action very high. I believe I'll switch to something smaller.

  • I thought about using .303, but I decided (rightly) that they would be too big. I didn't think of the eyebolts either. I got the idea from Crow. Everything on it is new, except two of the strings, which were spares that came with the old guitar I never learned to play, and the Nagant shells, which were new before I shot them. Sadly, they're no longer being used. The action was way too high, so I replaced them with 3/16" roll pins. It's a shame, because I really liked the look.
  • Oh you didn't use a .303 casing?   WWI vintage...I like the eyebolts for tuners...never would have thought of that
