Finished build. Strings A-D-G. For more range and to make things special, A-String has extension down to F. Features internal plywood top, which holds up pretty well against string pressure.

I think you can see I can't take it out too much in this season. Let's rely on science: there's the issue of back & sides presumably absorbing some energy + rather low string mass = not-so-great acoustic volume. Doesn't hold up well against piano and drums with brushes. But for listeners at a distance of more than 5 meters it should at least blend well with guitars. I think success depends on how spoiled your jam mates are by amplified bass ;-)
It plays like a standard upright, scale lenght = 1,05 m. "Capos" holding down the low string at A- & G-Note would be useful. Another challenging project!
