  • Thanks for the info. I'll look into the router bit. I've got tiny router bits for my dremel but they are free cutting bits. Do you use a jig? And does the bit have a bering on the shaft? So many ?s..
  • That sounds really cool! And thanks for the tips Penny. To cut out the hole, I used the router attachment and bit for my Dremel. It worked well enough and was pretty easy to control. I definitely did a few practice runs on scrap wood before I did it for real though.
  • I've got some nice Japanese coins from 1944 (my b day). I want to inlay into the relic MIJ guitars i'm working on lately. They look cool and in a way caused the MIJ invasion of the 60s. They are war coins made cheaply to help their war effort.
  • Thanks for the tips Penny and Jett. What bit did you use to cut it?
  • if its a snug fit you can just use some water to expand the timber to hold it tight.

  • I just put a dot of my regular wood glue (Elmer's)- hasn't fallen out yet! It fits pretty snug in there anyways, it stuck in the hole without any glue
  • Could you let me know what glue you use for your coin inlays? I want to add some to my builds. Thanks
