Showing the bottom support attached to the top slat. Speaking of slat, I should add that while it would have been easier to chisel out on a 2x4, I'm using all recycled (or is it upscaled or reclaimed?) wooden slats from an old, unneeded pine bed frame. Waste not, want not!
