this is the first 4 pole magnetic one I've used. But I've used magnetic 6 pole pickups on 3 and 4 stringers and in my opinion it's the only way to go. I just don't like all the ambient noise and the thin sound of a piezo pickup. Tried just about every configuration and I can't get a good sound out of 'em. I've seen some builds though where the piezos sound good.

ok thank i was wondering about those . how do they sound ?
yeh I aways ground them.
do you have to ground these prewired ones ?
