I found a nice source for copper samples - www.colorcopper.com. I got the piece of copper that protects th wood from the strings from them. You can get six different pieces of copper in one sample, or a sample of all 20 of their copper pieces. Each piece would make six or eight of these pieces. They're very bendable but pretty sturdy.
