  • I meant 'thick' hinges.
  • Thanks, James! This one is made with half of a hinge, metal rod from Lowes, and a bottle opener. I put the hinge in a vise, feed the rod thru the hinge, bend the rod, and cut it off at the length I want. Then thread the end I'd the rod with a tap and die set. Sometimes I cut out brass parts from think hinges, such as the string-thru part and hinge part on my last tailpiece. Thanks for asking!
  • How do you make those awesome tailpieces? love your CBGs

  • Thanks, Bluesheart!
  •  Now that is bad assed! Looks like you can still use the opener too, extra points!

  • Thanks Jim! I'll put those 2 openers in the mail on Monday. I like your zippo tailpiece, it inspired me to use a copper zippo for a 3 pole humbucker cover.
  • Now that looks spot on Frank,,,damn good idea with the bottle opener, I like that alot!
