Three string fretless bass guitar with a 30" scale with a Henry Clay Cigar Box body. This is bass #2. Mahogany neck with curly maple finger board. Nylon strings, .065", .080" and .095".

    The weed whacker string/trimmer line can be purchased at any hardware store. I get it at 'Lowes' or 'Home Depot'. I'm sure you can get it there in the Netherlands as well, there are many names for it, "Weed Eater" string, "Weed Whacker" line or "String Trimmer" line are only a few.

    That's cool! But where can i get them? I live in the Netherlands but i am visiting the USA in about a month.

    Thanks Wes! And Groovemeister, those are genuine made in America Cigar Box Bass strings (otherwise known as  weed whacker line!!!) Same size as the steel strings they replace and sound great! Just not as much volume but a good preamp can fix that. I read an article somewhere about a guy comparing stretch and diameter change of various type of nylon strings and the cheapo weed whacker line beat our the better (more expensive) real instrument strings in consistency of diameter along the string length while under tension. And you can't beat 40 feet for 3US$. And everybody that sees them just loves he colors!!
