The JFR 770 box is pretty big and has great volume. The rosewood medallion was just the perfect size to cover the bottom imprinting on the box.I carefully made the hole just right and the medallion is glued on from the inside with tight bond. It has a convex face but is still recessed below the surface of the top. I beefed up the box inside with gussets and some support strips to help seal the lid.
