Just finished this 6-string lapper, can't decide if it wants to be Derek Byrd or Jerry Trucks, planned on G6 tuning but openE right now. 25.5 scale, string spacing same at nut and bridge, I thought the wider "fretboard" was good because your bar-hand covers the frets when you are descending. $11 tuners were the only thing I had to buy. Jackson pup donated, rest found around.

Thanks for the comments and the challenge, I did post some samples of big wedgie through an amp simulator direct to computer with no other effects (except reverb) and demonstrating the tabasco bottle "steel". Hope that gives you an idea of the sound. Just cuz I can make a passable steel, doesn't mean I can play a passable steel, but I enjoy it.
