This is a 3 string frettless made from a SC license plate. The box was cut out under the bridge to allow a resonator tone. This particular version of the SC flag was first flown over the Citadel on January 9th 1861 when the South Carolina troops prevented the North from using Fort Sumter to get supplies for the Union Army. Some of the first shots of the Civil War were fired there.
