I shaved the bridge down and added a new string and tuner to an early banjo build. The skin is a tambourine with a thick natural skin.

Thanks Erwin. The bridge is on the skin. No soundpost. There's a neck through stick going through the hoop to the tail but about 3/4 inch down from the skin head.

Nice work! Is the bridge supported in any way, or just on the skin?

I should mention that I shaved the neck down to a nice round shape and oiled my changes with Minwax antique oil finish.
