Backside

I added some little wedges as bracing along the fingerboard to neck later. The top of the neck dowel is flattened to glue on the fingerboard.

  • I got the idea from a toy tin banjo with a stick neck with a thin wood fingerboard tacked on top. Simple but very effective. I've seen this in old photos of kids homemade fiddles. The fingerboard is only leaning on the neck at the nut and body. Open in a triangle between them. It works great as you can get a nice high angle on the fingerboard for a high bridge. Good for bowing room.
