Wait - yet another disaster! I was stringing the Sortacaser up, and I ran out of intonation adjustment at the bridge pieces. Sheesh! I've built enough instruments to know to go Metric where it counts, I measured and re-measured 'til the cows come home, yet here I am short by 1/4" or so. Grr. So I made a maple shim with an ebony cap, effectively ooching the neck about 1/4" tuner-ward in the pocket. Worked out just perfect, and when the light's right, it's most hard to see the fix. Not that a guy doesn't make mistakes, it's being good enough to make them mostly disappear that counts.
