You bring up a good point. Regular knobs you can find in music shops, catalogs and online can be quite dull and boring. I love how people think outside the box( no pun intended ).

Better selection of colors if you make your own. I have done a few with big casino dice as knobs. I also sometimes use champagne corks and other junk.
