I refinished this antique box and cut the sound hole. This is the first time I used the Helmholts equation to calculate it. Many thanks to the CBN native who did the math. Included is the headstock template and the saddle? tailpiece? Blank in brass. Thanks for all the advice Y'all

Okay, so, I googled Helmholtz Equation. What I saw made me say, "Huh?" 1.) I wasn't so good at math in school--barely got by with C's in algebra and geometry (Dad was a math teacher--I drove him cuckoo, poor guy!). 2.) What I saw might as well have been in Farsi. Um...help?

The equation helps in determining optimum sound hole size in relation to box volume.
