  • thats a (i, v, i) tuning Mark, so it'd be F#1 (E string), F#2 (G string), C#2(A string), C#3(B string), F#2(D string), F#3(E string)..
  • thanks guys.   these 3 pair jobs i do, i just put a regular set of guitar strings on em, probly 10-52 or something like that..   sometimes I get em up to G but this one is real comfortable in F#.  The scale is 600mm (23 5/8) so its about a fret shorter than a fender, at F# its just a little more tension than a guitar in open E, except for the G string, which is considerably less, a major third lower.. The 3rd and 4th strings from the set are tuned to the same pitch as each other, so probly if you had two D strings that'd work better, but a set works fine, and thats what I tell people when I sell these, its designed to use a set of guitar strings, no waste, just easy to find guitar strings like you can get any place..

I added a pickup to this one the other day, an overwound tele neck pup i had lying around inside the tin, its working great
