That was my first 3. I have been woodworking for years but I was "skert" to jump out with 3. Especially with the necks as there are so many operations, that if you screw up, all you end up with is a head knocker. I did'nt play, so I was not exactly sure what I was out to get in the end.. Thanks to all the knowledge on this forum, (I read for about 2 weeks before I started.)I knew what I was supposed to end up with. I listened to Shane Spiel play the Star Spangled Banner on the "D" string of A GDG tuned CBG. He gave the first 3 notes and I got it from there. I ain't Jimmi Hendrix at Woodstock with it, but I am still working on it. I played a Cornet from 5th to 8th grade and went to a Baritone to HS Grad. Point of all that is I can read music so I am not as lost as some but I am still a "babe in the woods". Again, thanks to all who have helped even unknowingly to my start on CBG, I have already started 3 more. They all sound different from one another so I guess as my skill level and and "ear" will find which will work best for whatever "style" I work toward.
