AGP #517 – “Ali”3 String Fretless Tin Sign GuitarScale : 660.4mm / 26 inchesStrings : .054NW / .034NW / .024NW /Tuned: E B eThe Tin Sign was a gift from some one about a year ago, the Box Sides and Bottom are 19mm Pine Ply, the Neck is Tasmanian Oak, the Fretboard is Solid Pine, and the bridge is a bit of Forest Red Gum.A 12k Dual Humbucker is ghosted in the Bridge Position and an 8.3k Single Coil P90 Style Pickup is ghosted in the neck Position, which are wired through a Prewired Tele Type Control Plate to the Output Jack.The reason for the Pickups being Ghosted was to preserve the integrity of the Pic of my Favourite Boxing Idol Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali, “HOWEVER” as I should know from past experiences, Tin Signs combined with Magnetic Pickups (as opposed to Aluminium Signs) cause quite a few problems, ie; the sound is similar to having a box full of Piezo Disc Pickups, in short the resulting sound output was pure Crap, SO!, changes “will” be made. :-)
