Doug, one reason was that 3 Strings tuned to an open chord is easier for me to play, another reason was that, since doing this build back in 2013, I have purchased a very nice factory made 6 String Lap Slider, as per the Pic, plus I want the Telecaster Ashtray Saddle and Pickup I took off, for an upcoming Tele Type Build, using a recent cheap Sycamore Body Blank I purchased on Ebay, again as per the Pic :-)
