AGP #301 - ''Mitsubishi''

AGP #301 - “Mitsubishi”(4 String Air Cleaner Guitar)Scale : 648mm / 25½inchesStrings : .044NW / .030NW / .021NW / .018PS /Tuning: G / D / g / B /Recently and reluctantly after many years of faithful service I finally parted company with my trusty much loved but unused 1992 Triton Mitsubishi Work Ute, BUT!, I did keep the Air Cleaner :-D.The Neck is recycled Grey Ironbark stained with ‘Japan Brown’ and coated with “Gilly’s Dark Timber Wax”, a 4.8k Single Coil Foil Pickup is hardwired to the Jack.Having a bit of a problem with screeching & feedback at the moment, I suspect it’s something to do with Pup touching and reacting with the metal lid?, so! a bit of problem solving to be done yet! :-)

  • 301, you amaze! Depending on how fast you play, vehicle emission standards should meet code as long as you change your filter regularly. Risky build though, just missing your arm pit while playing!
  • Well now that's some Creative Thinking good job now you have something to remember it by

  • V'room v'room!!! Awesome Bro!

  • "Yup Pick", your right as usual, it has all the characteristics of a large Piezo at the moment, had a similar problem with another build not long back   :-)

  • "Thanks Wes" :-)

  • "Thanks Mr Bones", If Seasick Steve can own and play an Air Cleaner Guitar so can Moi :-), and Yep!, not so squeezy, that long air duct is a bit of nuisance, should cut it off, but the build is probably already illegal because of all the Vehicle Emission Standards bits I dispensed with  :-D,

  • yup separate the pup from the lid at any contact points .  you have effectively made the lid a piezo .

  • Man you know how to keep it interesting I must say .looks not so squeezy .....
