AGP #170 “Big Dog”(3 String Dog Bowl Resonator CBG)Scale : 648mm / 25½inchesStrings : .042NW / .032NW / .024NW /Tuning : GDG"The inevitable build!!" everyone has to have a Dog Bowl Resonator CBG (right???). I picked up the brand new dog bowl at the local Big W store, but didn't realise the size of it until I started the build, it was a lot larger than I probably needed, but the big bowl and big homemade pine box = big sound.The neck is Meranti, the box & neck were stained with a Mahogany stain, and coated with A Turpentine & Linseed Oil mixture, the Tailpiece is home made from a bit of scrap tin, which was beaten with a ball-peen hammer, the Pickups are, an under saddle Rod Piezo and a Gibson style Humbucker, both wired to a 3 Way Switch.Originally I fitted a C.B.Gitty Gold Foil pickup to the neck, but it didn't seem to suit the build sound wise, hence the Humbucker.
