AGP #126 “Coffee Top”(3 String Tackhead CBG)Scale: 635mm / 25 inchesStrings:: .0.34BW / .026BW / .017PSTuning: GDGThe bowl ($2), & the neck ($2.80) were recycle shop finds, which I sanded & waxed, and the goat skin head ( which I've had for a while) was bought on Ebay, I think from England for around $20 plus?, which I stained by soaking in coffee, a piezo disc is hot glued to the recessed part of the thru neck, with the bridge sitting hard on the neck behind it.Built as an experiment, the sounds can best described as Banjo like when unplugged, Mellow (but Unbanjo like) when amped on clean setting, and Deep, Mellow & Rattly with various degrees of distortion etc, they all sound ok! (“to me”), but I’m sure it is open for further experimentation in the future with different string gauges, tunings & amp settings etc.
