This is the first time I ever made a cbg I put the sound holes on the sides instead of on the front dose this matter at all when it comes to the sound it produces the strings are about a paper’s thickness from the frets maybe a little more then a paper but not much more sense I am not shire if closer is better or should it be spaced more then that I did learn that I may cut the frets a little smaller then the width of the fret board to make it look a little nearer any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated

Thank you very much for the info on the frets and sound holes it’s got a good sound to it and it seams easy to fret the strings it don’t take much to get them to make a cord and I’m already thinking about building another one
Nice looking build, that' a good sized box and should sound good. The string height (action) is a personal preference. If u think its too low just put a shim under your bridge. The sound hole location really doesn't matter. Some people debate this but the sound doesn't come from the hole. The sound comes from the guitar body, mostly the top. The hole just allows it to breathe. You have to have air movement to produce sound, that all the hole does. I think its best to cut the frets the full width and spend a little time filing and sanding them smooth. These are just my opinions and some folks may disagree and that OK. Just keeping building them and remember there are no rules. Your build looks way better than my first one
