I am experimenting with coffee stirrers to build up kerfing, they are very light, and flexible, and glue up easily. Takes a while to glue them on as you have to do it layer by layer. The PVA the bond is very strong and they add very little mass to the build, the zook on my page was kerfed using long match sticks...all in the spirit of keeping it cheap and simple and DIY.
