Thanks Mike, I never build anything before so this was just a test mule to figure out how to use the dremel and solder and connect stuff. Kinda rough but the sound is just wicked-- lots of sustain & just a little feedback.
Can't wait to run it through the Big Muff and my 100 w fender amp lol. Carving the mounting bracket was the only thing that was a little tricky to get right. I also picked up a real nice Dean Performer QSE with a bad EQ/piezo that I am going to work over now with a full size Gibson/EPI humbucker ( maybe 2). Thanks for the interest. John
Hey John, I put a cheap single coil pickup in an el cheapo acoustic and the sound surprised me. I bet yours does sound good with that humbucker. Isn't it a hoot to get results like that? See Ya!
