There's always something special about ones first build Ray, still have mine, and wouldn't part with it for the world, despite a few minor Tweaks, it's still basically the original build. :-)
Exactly. I find myself wanting to keep it as is, as a reminder of what I started with, then I have the other notion that I should add what I've learned over time and tweak it to be as good as I can make it. I grapple with that dilemma with each build. I have fifteen now, most have been modified. I haven't done that yet with this one aside from trying different bridges. Tons of fun!
You're right. When completed, I find that you tweak them to what you hope will be a good starting point and it's not until you actual play them that you know what's what. Then come the refined fiddling about, ha. It doesn't detract from the amount of enjoyment you get from making something from whatever you think will work, which is part of why we... Build another lol.
