80 Heller Guitar pickup

History stuff! After World War I, local communities and villages in Austria and Germany printed their own money in order to feed their starving citizens. This pickup shows an "80 Heller" voucher from Amstetten, my home town. In the background there's the 50 Heller voucher. They read "valid until December 31, 1920" (Gültig bis 31. Dezember 1920"). The skyline hasn't changed that much since then ;-)

  • JP, yes I thought about that :-) Then I went with these local bills which were only valid till end of 1920. Above all, our currencies changed a lot since then, from imperial crowns ->Shillings-> German Reichsmark->Shillings again and finally the euro.
  • Mini hundred dollar bills would probably sell in the USA!     Problem is, you'd probably end up in the slammer for counterfeiting!   ;-}}
