This is a dulcimer that was bought as a kit from Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. It turned out very nice. It features a butternut top, walnut sides, back pieces, neck and head. The kit just came as a box of wooden planks, a head block, and the neck was already cut for frets. The sides were already steam bent. The sound hole covers were cut from my scroll saw out of walnut. This dulcimer produces a nice stereo effect with an exceptional warm tones. Finished with several coats of tung oil, them buffed and rubbed a few times with carnauba wax.
