  • Clean. That's one to play when you're playing shows.

  • Well check out that pickup. I plan to do some busking next summer with guitars on display. I hear that is a good way to sell some off and thin the herd.
  • Uncle john nice builds very clean. Thanks for the comments about my builds. I am getting to the point I need to start selling them off. It's getting crowded in my mancave. I am doing this in a small bedroom in a condo in down town Chicago. The Art Deco was my first try at a reso and a handmade pickup and it turned out better then hoped for. The steampunk stuff is really cool it is freeing to get back to the golden age of tinkering like Tesla and Edison and by the way your never to old to play in the steamy world of steampunk. I'm not a young pup myself. Just FYI guitar fetish has cheap single coil pickups that would bring that 6 string alive look in their sale Part on their web page and also the rod piezo that C.B. Gitty sales are great for under the saddle builds way better then the piezo disc that Radio shack sells. Better tone and not so harsh when adding distortion or gain to the mix and it has 6 bumps of foil for a 6 banger. Thanks
  • The 6 string with a neck from a (broken) cheap Strat copy plays good and sounds fair acoustic and plugged. I should have used a regular guitar pickup instead of a piezo. May change that somday. This guy mostly sits in the basement while my 4 string CBGs get the playing time. Still, glad I tried one of these.
