Thanks Uncle John, the neck is Jarrah, an Australian hard wood. I chose this piece because of the grain, it is an easy wood to work with and holds its colour really well. I used a natural bees wax on the finished neck, this photo was taken after sanding and a damp cloth wipe down. It is my second giutar, with two more in progress and two more planned. I make amps as well, trying to make matched pairs, when I can get the boxes.
