When I started this one I planned to make it acoustic only and I cut the two large sound holes in it. Then I changed my mind and decided I would add a pickup so I blocked those holes with some maple dyed black to stiffen the area around the pickup. It sounds pretty good both ways, but of course, it's much louder plugged in.
