A couple of years ago, I spent months trying out new & used resos priced from just a few hundred bucks to over $2000, and finally, I decided on an inexpensive Rogue “Classic Brass Body Resonator”. For around $350 (+ free shipping) new, I couldn’t be more satisfied. Knowing that a reso wouldn’t be a guitar I played that much, yet it was one that had been vetted and recommended by 100’s of players, helped me make my decision. (My next door neighbors may feel differently about the whole thing. This guitar is LOUD. : D
Dave & Brian > Just recently, I had the opportunity to play a Honey Dipper, and it is one sweet guitar!
Rogue Classic Brass Body Resonator Guitar: For that rootsy, gutsy, old time National sound, the Rogue Classic Brass Body Resonator is by far the best in its price range and beyond, backed up by a consensus of glowing reviews and comments. A huge sound with some of the most resonant, growling slides you'll hear from a reso in any price range. http://www.cheapguitarguide.com/resonator-guitars.html#compare

Mouth dripping pretty Jim. Like those shimmering shadows on her belly.

I have a Gretsch Honey dipper. I love her. She sure has some power and beauty. Mine is just grey though. ....
I think maybe so, Jerry.
She definitely is s Sally.
That's good, but she sure has a female persona. Swamp Water Sally. THAT'S IT!
