    Hi Colin, the through neck is attached to the bottom of the box.  as far as the lit gous, I plan to put set screws around the perimiter as soon as I install the elec p-up and pots.  I get those tomorrow!!.  I still need to find a cool sould port accent and where to put it.  Thanks again
